New Member Hero

Lakeside Community Healthcare is more than just your medical group — we’re your partner in health. With our network of primary care doctors, specialists, hospitals, urgent care centers, and support services, we work closely with your health plan to provide the coordinated care you need.

Depending on the primary care doctor you’ve chosen, you’ll get care in one of two ways. You may visit one of our Lakeside Community Healthcare operated office locations, which offer primary care and other services — with a dedicated Patient Experience Liaison to help you along the way. Or, you might see an independent doctor from our larger network, which includes thousands of trusted physicians throughout the community. No matter where you go, we're here to guide and support you throughout your care journey.

Prior authorization made easy

If your doctor refers you to see a specialist, you will likely need to have prior authorization.

After you visit your doctor or specialist, any referrals for care are sent to Lakeside Community Healthcare, not your health plan.

Some services require prior authorization, including:

  • Specialist visits
  • Imaging tests
  • Surgeries
  • Certain medications

When approved, please schedule your appointment using the provider details included in your letter, such as their:

  • Name
  • Phone number
  • Address

Lakeside Community Healthcare authorizes your care.

  • 97% of requests are approved within 10 business days.
  • You’ll receive a letter in the mail when a decision is made.
  • When approved, schedule your appointment directly with the provider listed on your letter.
  • When a service is denied, you will receive a notice from us that explains your rights to appeal.
